I was recently asked to give a talk on the topic of painting your own house.
Myself and my wife were recently asked to give a presentation on the art of painting our own home. I was excited to present my work on the topic because I love to paint and I’ve had a lot of experience with the subject.
This is the first post on the Painting Your Home page on the website. I’m hoping to get a lot of feedback and suggestions on the topic. I’m also hoping to get some questions and answers on my own home painting process.
I think a lot of you have already done this. I think you can take all your photos, video’s, and whatever other materials you have and you’ve already got a great idea of what your interior looks like. So why not start with your exterior? The painting process is a pretty similar way to do it. You just paint the exterior of your home, and then you can start on the interior.
There are many things you can do to improve the exterior look of your home, but you can also improve the interior. Some of the things that can make a big difference are the lighting, the colors, and the texture. A lot of interior painting techniques are similar to exterior painting techniques, but the major difference is the texture. Interior painting techniques that focus on texture may have a very specific purpose, but they can also be used to create a more natural look.
I personally like to think of interior painting techniques as the kind of painting you do to give your home that ‘homey’ feel. The exterior paint job can be what you think it is, but the interior gives your house that ‘homey’ feel.
You may have noticed that I like to use the word “homey” to describe interior painting techniques, because I think it makes the process easier to talk about. That’s a good thing. The problem is that the word “home” connotes a place, a home, something you live in. The interior paints are a way to give your home that homey feeling, a sense of place.
Thats because the interior paint is not the same as the exterior paint. While the exterior paint is what covers the surface of your home, the interior paint gives your home that feel of place.
