I have had my over seas law degree for 12 years now. I have had a job as an attorney for over a decade. I love it and it has been a great life experience.
I have been a lawyer for over a decade and I love it. I have had a job for as long as I can remember. For a long time I had a good job and knew exactly what to do with my life. I would have the same job, same salary, same hours, same client base, same coworkers, and the same family. But one day it was over. I had taken a huge pay cut, but I still loved what I was doing.
I feel that the world has slowly gotten better since I got out of law school. There are a lot more people who do legal work for a living these days. The jobs we’ve had have been a lot more stable and there are a lot more people who see legal work as a good thing. But the law itself is still a bit of a mystery to me.
I was a law school professor for a few years, so I can attest to the fact that this statement is true. But I also understand that law is not something that one is born with and is something that one can learn over time. Like most things in life, the law takes hard work and dedication and practice. In fact, in my experience, the harder you work at something, the more you will learn by doing it.
So it’s possible that it’s just a matter of time before someone decides that it is to their benefit to teach you the law. I guess I just like the idea of someone who has a law degree saying, “Hey, I’ve got this wonderful law degree and I want to take you on a tour of my favorite law school, the University of Chicago.
To put this in perspective, the University of Chicago has a law school, but only the first two years of its curriculum are taught in English, and only in the first two years of its curriculum is taught in a way that allows students to take an exam to certify they’ve mastered the course’s material.
The University of Chicago has a very different model of what I would call a “law school” than the University of Chicago and the University of Washington. Not only does the University of Chicago not teach English in its schools, but the schools are very small and very specialized. The University of Chicago, for instance, has only three full-time student attorneys, none of whom are enrolled in the law school. And the University of Chicago is a very different place than the University of Washington.
While the University of Chicago is very different than the University of Washington in part because it is such a small institution with a very specialized curriculum, I think it is important to note that the University of Chicago Law School is still in academic leadership at this point in time. It has been for seven years, so it’s clear that it is still the top law school in the country and that it has a very good reputation.
Sure, it’s clear that it is a great school. But that doesn’t mean it’s always great. In fact, the University of Chicago Law School has just been named one of the best schools in the nation by the National Center for Academic Excellence (NEA). And not just for the quality of the classes, but also for the school’s history. It was founded in 1859 and was one of the first institutions of higher learning in the country.
