I’m a freelance lawyer. I get paid to do what I do. And I’ve always been a firm believer in the value of hard work. However, I also believe in the value of self-awareness. I don’t think I could be successful without taking some time to consciously look at my own behaviors, attitudes, and opinions.
Like many others, I started my career as a lawyer, only to end it after about a decade. After that, it was pretty bad. And now I’m working on a second career. I’ve created a company called Myself.com, a website where I write about myself. I don’t tell anyone else about my site, but I do get e-mails from people asking me questions.
I think it is a really important concept to understand. You can’t possibly know what you are doing if you dont know what you are doing. And its not just that you need to ask yourself questions; you also need to find some answers. For example, Ive seen many people who have had really successful careers who have not asked themselves, “Why did I quit my job so early?” Then they got fired.
Do you think that people who ask themselves why they left their jobs are really quitting because they didnt like the work? I think its more than that. If you are not sure why you quit your job, then it may be an opportunity for you to take another job. Or perhaps it is a chance to look at how you feel about your job.
In this particular case, the question is whether or not to leave your job and start a new one. In the case of a lot of people, it is a question that they are reluctant to ask. The answer is that most of us have the same hesitance. If someone said to you, “Why did I quit my job so early?” you would probably think they wanted to quit because they didnt like the work.
Some people are hesitant because they fear that they will look unprofessional or that they will not have the skills needed to do the work again. This is true. But the reality is that if you really want to do something, you will find a way to get the work done.
I am a freelance lawyer. I quit my job early because I didnt like the work. I wasnt hired to work on some white collar crime case but I did the work of a criminal defense lawyer. Its not a good feeling but it is a fact. I also knew that I would be paid a lot more money than I was worth and I didnt want the hassle.
The reality is that you are a lawyer. You need a job. You also want to make money. But that is where the “money” part is. You will find ways to make money. Just dont expect it to be easy.
So this guy is a “freelance” lawyer. He works for a law firm, but he works for himself. He is a self-professed “professional” lawyer. The job he works for is a “professional” one because he is not a “freelance” lawyer.
