There are a great deal of customs and border guards that work for the government. For example, one of the agencies that is called the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is the U.S. Customs and Border Protection. CBP is a federal agency that exists as part of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
As the CBP is part of the Department of Homeland Security, it does a lot of different work. But most of that work is related to the border, customs, and immigration. We can, therefore, expect the CBP to be doing more than just customs and border protection.
Customs and border protection is the name given to the federal government’s agency that monitors and inspects the borders and customs in the U.S. These agencies, which are sometimes called border patrol, are responsible for the inspection of trucks, vehicles, and baggage entering the U.S., as well as the inspection of items that are brought into the country and held in customs. CBP also does enforcement work on the international border, and is responsible for patrolling the border between the U.S.
